Handcuffs = I am a full time prison employee and a part time police officer. Handcuffs are an important part of my daily life.
Horses = I have been riding and competing since I was very little (started riding when I was 3 years old) obviously making the horses a very important component of who I am.
Dirty Diapers = I have recently become the proud parent to a bouncing baby boy! So, as any parent knows dirty diapers are an inevitable part of the most incredible part of my life!
Now with the introduction out of the way, I have no answer for why I started this blog other than I thought it would be a fun way to spend some time while Harrison (BABY!!!!) is sleeping and I have some time to myself. There's no real direction other than some, hopefully, fun things from my daily life (and by daily I mean when I have some free time).
I LOVE Halloween, I would say it's easily one of my top 5 favorite holidays (Christmas and Thanksgiving obviously being the top two, Halloween, then 4th of July and New Years). I really got into decorating since we have just been living in our current house for about a year. That being said I thought I'd share with you the wreath I made for our front door:
Have to say I'm pretty proud of the way it turned out. I wish I had remembered to take pictures of it as I went through the steps but sorry, I forgot. Basically it is a green Hobby Lobby wreath I spray painted with black paint, Halloween ornament bulbs and flashing ghost lights I purchased from Pier One when they were on clearance, a small hanging Halloween sign from Hobby Lobby and a glow in the dark spider web from Dollar General.
I'll have to try and remember to take pictures of the fireplace mantle and post them on here as well. I'm still in the process of "collecting" Halloween decorations so at this point I don't have a whole lot of them. It's always fun to go into stores after the holiday is over and buying up what they have on clearance :)
